You are responsible for recording where it is allowed and for telling the people in the room. Our recording notice explains the rules in plain words before your first recording.
The audio is transcribed as it arrives and never stored. The transcript and notes live in your account until you delete them, and they are never used to train AI.
Your notes stay as long as your account does. Delete a lecture and it is gone from view at once and erased after 30 days; ask to delete your account and its data are erased at least 14 days later.
Before, during and after class

1. Pick the class. Press Start.
Choose a subject and press Start in your browser, on a laptop or a phone.
2. Notes form while you listen.
Add your own notes on top of the recorded notes using My Notes. The professor’s words stay in the transcript, untouched.
3. A study guide, an export, a send.
When you stop, open a study guide, download the notes as Markdown or PDF, or send them to Slack.
